Mariah and Clay – a relationship with friendship and authenticity at the center of it. I’ve had the pleasure of capturing these two throughout this beautiful chapter in their lives. A few years ago, I was visiting Wisconsin for some weddings and decided to host a day of fall minis. Mariah booked a slot for her and Clay to get some cute pictures done, and he reached out to me not too long after asking if he could pop the question and if I could help put together a game place. Uhm, YES. I’ve known Mariah for a large chunk of my life, so being asked to capture such a special moment for her made my heart melt. That session then lead to their engagement session, which lead us here, to their perfect wedding day.

I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again – who you surround yourself with on your wedding day truly matters and makes a difference. Mariah and Clay were surrounded with nothing but love, support, and good energy from their family and friends. Smiles, laughter, and happy tears filled the room from the start of the day all the way to the end. There are so many things I want to remember from this day, but a few stand out the most. Prior to walking down the aisle, the DJ played the sweetest voice message from Mariah to Clay and there wasn’t a single dry eye in the room. It was a complete surprise for almost everyone and most definitely something I’m noting for my own wedding some day. And of course, I don’t want to forget the pizza delivered as the perfect drunk snack towards the end of the night. If you’re debating a late night snack for your guests, DO IT. I promise you won’t regret it.
