This was one of the dreamiest engagement sessions I’ve had. If I had to describe Christie and Hunter in a few words, it would be fun, adventurous, and romantic. It was one of the easiest sessions I’ve done because their love took the lead from one moment to the next.

I reflect back on this session a lot because it’s one I’m still so, so proud of. Aside from the perfect blue water, golden hour, and beautiful sunset, Hunter and Christie’s love was so real and genuine. They’re just adorable, mmk?

If you’re planning your engagement session, one of my biggest pieces of advice is treat it like a date night and go into it ready for some quality time. I’ll meet my clients wherever they’re at that day – meaning, if you’re ready for an adventure, I’ll match that energy. If you’ve had a long, exhausting day, I’ll keep it lowkey. I do my best to capture every couple as they are and as they’re feeling because I want everyone to feel comfortable in front of me and my camera. I never want it to feel like “just another thing” to cross off the list. You’re going to have these pictures forever! Talk about it. Plan it out. Make it yours. Have some drinks beforehand to loosen up if that’s your thing. Plan a dinner date afterwards, or maybe grab some ice cream (and take me with)!
